The 2008 US SAILING ISAF Youth World Qualifier and US Youth Multihull Championship Regatta is a new multi-class event that will determine the sailors who will represent the U.S. at the 2008 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF Youth World Championship. In previous years, separate class events were selected as the qualifying events for the ISAF Youth Worlds; in 2008, US SAILING and ABYC will draw the nation's top youth sailors to the West Coast to vie for a spot on the ISAF Youth Worlds starting line.
Racing will be in Lasers (boys' singlehanded), Laser Radials (girls' singlehanded), 29er (boys' and girls' doublehanded), RS:X (boys' and girls' sailboard) and SL16 catamaran (open multihull). The winners of the multihull division will also be named 2008 US Youth Multihull Champions.
