Fleet Day(s) is a season long series comprising of ten separate days of racing on Jan 13, Feb 17, Mar 9, April 13, May 11, Jun 30, Jul 27, Aug 24, Sep 8, Nov 9.

COMMUNICATION WITH RACE OFFICIALS

• HEARING REQUESTS – GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Hearing requests can be filed from your smart phone using the US Sailing Racing Rules of Sailing-App and emailed to [email protected]
    • Download the US Sailing Racing Rules of Sailing-App from the App Store or Google Play. Click on the link for information about the US Sailing Racing Rules of Sailing-App.
  • Alternatively, use the US Sailing Hearing Request Form (Fill out form; save it; email it to [email protected]; add diagram to email or bring one to hearing.)
    • Users of iOS (Apple) devices will need to download Adobe Reader from the App Store in order to be able to fill in the form on their devices. Adobe Reader is free.
  • Or just send an email to [email protected] and identify
    • (a) the protestor and protestee;
    • (b) the incident;
    • (c) where and when the incident occurred

  • Scoring Review Request can be submitted by email to [email protected]. Click on the link below and provide the requested information and send the email.

  • After filing the inquiry form, be sure to report to the Race office at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club to discuss your inquiry with the race committee and find out the response to your inquiry.

A minor’s (participants under 18) Regatta Waiver and Release of Liability form must be signed by their parent or guardian and emailed to [email protected] prior to the regatta. The forms are available for download in the Documents section below and we need a signed copy for all competing minors.

HOSPITALITY

• The hospitality of ABYC is extended to all participants.
• The galley will be open each day. Breakfast, bag lunches and adult beverages are available.
• The club bar will be open after racing.
• ABYC yard rules do not allow dogs, other than service dogs, onto the property or boat yard.

PARKING AND STORAGE

• Due to space limitations, vehicle parking on ABYC grounds is restricted.
• Off‐street metered parking is available across the street in municipal lots.
• Street parking is available. Street sweeping occurs on Thursday and Friday, check the signs when parking as the parking tickets are expensive.
• Parking of unattached trailers on public streets is prohibited.

BOAT LAUNCHING

• Your entry includes launching, recovery, and storage for visiting competing boats during the event.
• Visiting competing boats may request extended storage IN ADVANCE by contacting the ABYC office. The cost is $20.00 per day paid in advance. +1 (562) 434-9955 or [email protected].

Leaving and Returning to Ocean Courses The centerline “Keep Right” buoys from the edge of the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club basin to the end of the Alamitos Bay jetty (including A mark at the end of the jetty) must take these buoys to port. The AquaLink ferry to downtown Long Beach uses this channel and you are required to keep clear of them at all times.
